Start with two separate questions.
What work is the agency being paid to do? And what money is being paid to a platform to distribute advertising? Those costs do different jobs.
- Agency management fee
- Pays for the work defined in your agreement, such as planning, management and review. The included services and deliverables should be explicit.
- Ad-platform spend
- Pays the platform for advertising delivery. Confirm which account pays it, the approved limits and who can authorise a change.
- Other costs
- Production, tools and third-party services may be separate. Identify each approved cost instead of assuming it is included.
Ask for a clear written scope.
- Which services and deliverables are included?
- What period does the fee cover, and when is it payable?
- Are taxes and third-party charges identified?
- Who owns the accounts, assets and access?
- What happens when scope changes or work ends?
- What evidence will be reviewed, and when?
A budget is permission, not a result.
Approving a budget permits specified activity within agreed limits. It does not guarantee a number of leads or sales. If a test is proposed, agree its duration, spending cap and stop conditions before it starts.
What this means at Digionex Media.
Service scope and price are set in a written proposal. Management fees, ad spend and other approved costs are separate. This site does not publish a price list, refund rule or results guarantee.
